The Forsyth Teacher Academy is a job-embedded, evidence-based program for teacher preparation. This program is approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission as an alternative route to certification (GaTAPP). We provide qualified candidates with a route to obtaining teacher certification in their degree or professional field. Designed as a 1 - 2 year program, candidates will teach with the support of a clinical coach, mentor, administrator, and job-alike specialist while engaging in professional learning and pedagogy seminars. Qualified applicants must complete Steps 1-3 in the Forsyth Teacher Academy Self-Checklist below before applying to the program. 

Steps to Forsyth Teacher Academy Acceptance

1. Forsyth Teacher Academy application link is open from November 1, 2024 - May 30, 2025.
2. Candidates must complete all required documentation in the application.
3. Monthly email notifications will be provided to eligible candidates to confirm their application status.
4. Candidates must receive an official job offer from an FCS principal. 
5. Final acceptance letters to the Forsyth Teacher Academy will be communicated to eligible candidates via email by June 6, 2025.
