Wes McCall - Board Member for District 1
Wes McCall was elected to represent Forsyth County Board of Education District 1 in 2019. He serves as Vice Chairman for 2025.
In 2001, Wes married his wife, Jakima, at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Roswell, Georgia. The following year, they purchased their first home in Forsyth County, where they raised their son, Ian, a proud graduate of West Forsyth High School.
Wes’s journey with Forsyth County Schools began when Ian started kindergarten. He volunteered regularly, reading to classrooms, supporting math groups, mentoring students, and spearheading the creation of the Science Lab at Sawnee Elementary. His contributions extended to serving on PTA boards and Local School Councils for multiple schools.
Wes’s dedication to student development extends beyond the classroom. He has worked with church youth groups, founded the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) through North Fulton Leadership, collaborated with the Georgia Department of Education to develop public safety career pathways, and served as a Boy Scout leader. He is currently the Chair of the Forsyth County Homeless Youth Council and has served on several educational boards.
Wes holds a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Leadership from Grand Canyon University and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Columbus State University.
During his free time, Wes enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, and golfing, depending on the season. He and his family are active members of Browns Bridge Church.
