Position: After-School Child Care Intern
Location: Shiloh Point Elementary – Cumming, Georgia
Hours: [Insert Hours] (Typically after school until [End Time])
Compensation: $15.00 per hour
Age Requirement: Must be at least 17 years old

Job Summary:

Shiloh Point Elementary is seeking a responsible and enthusiastic After-School Child Care Intern to support our after-school program for students in grades K-5. This internship provides hands-on experience in child supervision, activity leadership, and educational support in a fun and structured environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and ensure the safety of students during after-school hours.
• Assist students with homework and provide academic support as needed.
• Engage children in age-appropriate games, crafts, and recreational activities.
• Lead small group activities and encourage positive social interactions.
• Help with snack distribution and cleanup.
• Maintain a welcoming and structured environment for all students.
• Communicate effectively with program staff and follow school policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Enjoys working with children and is patient, responsible, and dependable.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work well in a team setting.
• Prior experience with children (e.g., babysitting, tutoring, camp counseling) is a plus but not required.
