I am beyond excited to be joining the fifth-grade team this year. This will be my 19th year of teaching, and 17th year in Forsyth County. My husband and I have two children, Joshua and Daniel, who keep us quite busy on the baseball field. When not teaching or cheering on my favorite players, I enjoy a good book in my reading room. I love building and strengthening the joy of math, problem-solving, and science in my students, and I can't wait to begin this year's learning adventure with them.

The Looping Legends class and I are so excited to be moving to 5th grade! This will be year 36 for me, and I love teaching! Originally from the Finger Lakes region of New York, I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees from SUNY Brockport. My doctoral study focused on looping and student connectedness. I have taught kindergarten, sixth grade, fourth grade, fifth grade, and graduate students. My passion is in looping with fourth and fifth-grade students. In my free time, I love to hang out with my two grand blessings (one is also a Mariner), ride my motorcycle, and go hiking.
