Mrs. York is excited to be returning for her second year as a Whitlow wolf! This will be her third year teaching. Mrs. York graduated from UGA with her Bachelor's and her Master's degrees in Elementary Education. She is currently working toward her Specialist degree through the University of West Georgia. She is looking forward to another wonderful year in 3rd grade!

Ms. Elizabeth Heard

Ms. Heard is excited to spend another year in third grade at Whitlow! Ms. Heard graduated in 2021 from the University of North Georgia with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education, along with a Reading Endorsement. She received her Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction as well as an ESOL Endorsement from the University of North Georgia in 2024. Ms. Heard's passion is creating community in her classroom where all students feel valued and are able to grow and thrive.

Mrs. Kandi Hogue

Kandi Hogue is excited to be in 3rd grade at Whitlow again this year. She school year will be Kandi’s 18th year in education. Kandi has served as a STEM teacher, 1st grade, Kindergarten and 3rd grade teacher. She is also the Whitlow Elementary Robo-Wolves VEX Robotics coach. Kandi holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership. She also holds a STEM and ESOL endorsement. Kandi loves bringing STEM education to her students. She has a passion for providing hands-on instruction for students that makes learning come to life.

Mrs. Ashley Martin

I am super excited to begin my 22nd year of teaching and my 7th year teaching at Whitlow! I have taught 4th and 5th grades and I am super excited about my journey as a 3rd grade teacher! I received my Bachelors in Education with a minor in Sociology from The University of North Carolina Greensboro (GO SPARTANS). I received my Masters in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. I am looking forward to a great year here at Whitlow!

Mrs. Amy Reeves

Mrs. Reeves is starting her 6th year at Whitlow. She taught for 11 years in Illinois and 13 years in Gwinnett County before moving to Forsyth County Schools. Mrs. Reeves earned her bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, IL. She has also earned gifted and k-5 science endorsements. Mrs. Reeves looks forward to making strong relationships and having another fun year with her students!

Mrs. Kristen Watkins

Kristen Watkins is excited to be in her second year at Whitlow Elementary. She recently moved from Montgomery, Texas, where she dedicated 11 years to teaching in Texas Public Schools. Currently, she is pursuing a master's degree in teaching from Piedmont University. Kristen has two children enrolled at Whitlow, and her family feels truly fortunate to have found such an exceptional community with excellent educators. She is eagerly anticipating a wonderful year ahead!

This is my first year at Whitlow, and I am so excited to be here! I graduated in May from Georgia College & State University with a bachelors in Early Childhood Education. In my free time I love reading and spending time with my friends and family. I am so excited for the school year!

Ms. Williams is looking forward to beginning her teaching career here at Whitlow Elementary! She is a Forsyth County graduate and has lived most of her life here. When she is not at school, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family at the lake. She is looking forward to creating a classroom family with her third graders this year!
