Here are a few important details for our new debate team for this year.

1. Our first team meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 9th, at 8:00 am in Room 271 (Mrs. Cregan’s room)

2. Please bring a binder and pen to this meeting.

3. We will discuss the schedule for practices and upcoming competitions.

4. We will discuss the level you will debate: Novice, JV or Varsity.

5. You will be given your evidence packet-the topic is democracy.

The Debate Team will help you:

• Improve reading and writing skills

• Work as a team and build relationships

How can I get involved?

Practice! Work on your event at home, and go over it with other debaters at the meetings. There will be a plethora of events to choose from!

Meetings and times -First Interest Meeting on Tuesday 9/17 at 8:00 am. All grade levels are welcome to join us! We will discuss the details and responsibilities of the debate team. We will have tryouts for the debate team later in the month of September.
