This is my fourth year at Hendricks Middle School.  I am a native of New York where I received my bachelors degree in communication and a master's degree in counseling from St. Lawrence University.  I also hold an Ed.S in school leadership from Nova Southeastern University.  I have worked with students ranging from elementary school to college, with middle school being my favorite.  Because middle school can be challenging for kids, my personal goal is to help make sure that every student at HMS has a fun and rewarding experience.  I have lived in Georgia for nineteen years, and I have a son who is a senior in high school.  I love baseball (LGM) and going to concerts.

I am thrilled to be returning to middle school this year at HMS!  This will be my 19th year as a school counselor and my 22nd year in education.  I have worked in both the elementary and middle school levels.  I graduated from The George Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and later attended Georgia State University to receive my master’s degree in school counseling.  Brad and I are about to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary.  We are the proud parents of 24-year-old quadruplets.  We also have two cats that complete our family.  I enjoy going for long walks and listening to music.  I will be working with families whose last names begin with E-K.  You can contact me by email achapple@forsyth.k12.ga.us or at my extension 501026.  I am excited to join the Hawks family!

I am thrilled to join Hendricks Middle School as a counselor and wellness coordinator. With 24 years in education, including 22 years of teaching elementary and middle school, I bring a wealth of experience and passion for student wellness. I hold a bachelor's degree, two master's degrees, and a Specialist degree in education and school counseling. I've been happily married for 28 years and have three grown children. I look forward to contributing to our school's community and supporting our students' well-being. I am excited to start my third year at Hendricks! I have been a school counselor for 20 years in both middle and high school.  I moved from Florida five years ago, and I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology and my master’s degree in school counseling from Florida Atlantic University.  I am married and have 3 wonderful children, two of whom are in college.
