2025 Summer Programs Offered:
Forsyth County Summer School - More Information Coming Soon
HS Summer School 2025 will be held at Forsyth Central High School from June 2-June 26 (Monday-Thursday). Please note that this summer school option is for credit recovery only and is free of charge. Transportation will be provided from the student's base school to/from Forsyth Central High School and lunch will be available for students who are attending. Students can complete the North Forsyth High School Summer School Registration Request, so counselors can begin to register students.
Due to the short time frame of the summer session, the attendance policy is strictly adhered to throughout the summer. Students are allowed two absences and then they are automatically withdrawn from the course- unless otherwise approved.

Summer Registration is now open and will run through Monday May, 19. The following link has important information for FVA Summer 2025 included changes in the course transcript approvals for rising 9th and 10th graders.
Taking online courses through Forsyth Virtual Academy is a great way to utilize the summer break! Doing so can open up your schedule for other courses while also allowing you to get ahead. The courses are created and taught by our fantastic Forsyth County teachers, so you can feel confident about the quality of instruction, the level of service you will receive, and the ease of communication and access to your teachers.
FVA Summer Courses are offered to rising 9-12 th graders ONLY. This includes current 8th graders that will be attending High School next year.
* For students that are rising 4th-9th graders, we do offer a non-credit STEAM Camp as well.

The summer semester runs for 6 weeks. Courses start on Wednesday, May 28 and end on Wednesday, July 9.

Payment Information
Payment processing will be through School Pay. All prices are set and include a non-refundable processing fee.
Required Materials
You will need a computer and reliable internet access. You will need a way to record videos (webcam, phone, etc.) For Personal Fitness, you will need to have a simple fitness tracker that can track steps (pedometer, Fit Bit, smartphone/ device, etc.)
Rising 9th and 10th Grade Families
Please note that for rising 9th and 10th grade families, students may only earn one course credit to be added to their high school transcript. This includes one 1.0 credit course or two 0.5 credit courses. Any extra courses outside of this cannot be posted to the transcript, nor can they count towards a student’s GPA at any point in time. Georgia Virtual Summer Registration
Steps to Complete Summer Registration:
- Communicate your intention with the student's assigned school counselor.
- Complete the Parent Permission form for GAVS in Parent Portal.
- Create a GAVS account here (if you have not taken a course previously) and register for the appropriate course.
- Pay for the course on the GAVS website to save your spot in the class.
- Upon completion of the course, please complete this form to add the grade to your transcript and turn it into the counseling office.
Important Dates:
- March 1, 2025: Registration opens (12:00 pm EST)
- June 2: Summer courses begin
- June 5: Last date to register for summer courses
- June 6: Last date to pay for summer courses
- June 9: Last date to begin summer courses
- July 4: Independence Day Holiday (GaVS Closed)
- July 5-10: Final Exams Week
- July 17: Final Grades Released (12:00 pm EST)
