VICKERY CREEK VIPERS - E-Sports TEAM

Are you a gamer?  Wanna be a gamer at Vickery Creek and compete against other middle schools?  Well, this is the team for you!

What is the E-Sports team?
It is the mission of VIPERS - E-Sports team to connect competitive gamers with each other, provide a social avenue to discuss competitive gaming, field school teams in the Middle School Esports League (MSEL), and to foster personal skills through gaming such as critical/strategic thinking, problem-solving, reflection, communication, teamwork, and leadership.  There are two seasons for E-sports - the first season is in the fall (Oct/Nov/Dec) and runs through the middle of December.  The second season is in the spring (Feb/Mar) and matches start off in the middle of February. 

**NOTICE**  

Team players are not allowed to make money on esports, playing in tournaments for cash, or doing tick-tock videos for money.

The GHSA has made it clear that anyone caught playing esports for money will lose their amateur status moving forward. 

Middle School E-Sports League (MSEL)

The Middle School Esports League’s goal is to make esports available to every student as a legitimate sport across the nation. We achieve this by making it easy for faculty to offer students an opportunity to engage in healthy esports competitions, surrounded by peers, and supervised by teachers. Through organized Esports competition, students will tie their commitment to gaming to their success in academics and future careers.

What are the rules? What are the responsibilities of my students?

• MSEL has its own Player Guidelines and a rule set for each game, which participants are expected to know and abide by. MSEL reserves the right to suspend or terminate student participation for violating these rules.  VCMS E-SPORTS CODE OF CONDUCT
• Students will be held to the same eligibility requirements as traditional activities and sports.
