• Attendance

If your child needs to stay home, has a doctor's appointment, a dentist's appointment, or is absent for any reason, please let Shiloh Point Elementary School know by sending an email to your student Teacher and SPEAttendance@forsyth.k12.ga.us

You have 5 school days from their last absence to send in an excuse note and for us to accept it. Any note sent in after 5 school days will not be accepted, and the absences will remain unexcused.

    Extra Clothes

Yes, sometimes, accidents do happen, as well as spilling drinks on themselves and getting their clothing wet while playing outside.

Please pack an extra set of seasonally appropriate clothing for your child in their backpack in case of an accident: shirt, pants/shorts, underwear and socks.

Please note, I have limited clothing items in the clinic, and you may be called to bring clothing or pick your student up from school.

If you have any clothing you would like to donate, these are our current needs and the sizes we go through the fastest:

    1. Age XS & S girls leggings for kindergarten through 2nd grade sizes.

    2. Boys XS & S elastic waist pants for kindergarten through 2nd grade sizes.

    Snack Time

Please pack a healthy food item and a refillable water bottle for your student to have throughout the day.

Some examples include yogurt, fruit, crackers or vegetables.

Please note that sugary foods and processed foods can cause tummy aches and headaches during the day.

All students in 2nd and 5th grade will be screened for Hearing and Far Vision.

If your student fails either hearing or vision, a referral form will be sent home for you to have your student seen by a medical professional for further evaluation.

Please take the school referral form with you to your students' doctor's appointment and have the doctor complete it and sign the referral form and send the form back to the school nurse.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school nurse.

Each year, 5th grade students have the parent option of participating in the "Always Changing School Puberty Program".  This class is offered in May and the boys/girls are taught separately.  During this class, students will learn about proper hygiene, nutrition, and the changes they will start seeing in their bodies.
