    Who: All kindergarten students for the 2025-26 school year
    When: Begins January 27, 2025 through January 31, 2025 by appointment only
    Where: Student Registration Building, located at 1140 Dahlonega Highway, Cumming, GA 30040
    Description: Visit https://www.forsyth.k12.ga.us/district-services/technology-information-services/information-systems/registration-home/kindergarten-registration to make an appointment, pre-register, and review documents needed to enroll.
     
    Kindergarten Signing Event
    Who: Parents/Guardians and rising kindergarten student(s)
    When: Thursday, May 1, 2025 5:30pm - 7:00pm
    Where: Poole’s Mill Elementary
    Description: Students and parents will drop-in to receive information pertinent to kindergarten. There will be opportunities to visit classrooms, hear from teachers,
    tour a school bus, and enjoy a free pizza dinner. You can also visit the Bookmobile!

    Screening
    Who: Parent/Guardian and kindergarten student(s)
    When: Tuesday May 13, 2025 by appointment only
    Where: Poole’s Mill Elementary
    Description of Screening: Your child will be assessed on basic kindergarten skills. You should plan to wait for your child as this assessment lasts about 20 minutes. Please bring your ID to enter the building.

    Screening
    Bus Round Up
    Who: Parents/Guardians and kindergarten student
    When:Wednesday, July 23, 2025
    Description: Buses will pick up students and parents at their assigned bus stops and take them through the bus ride to and from school (approximately an hour). Your bus driver will contact you prior to the roundup date (usually the day before) with information regarding bus pickup time and stop location. If you have any questions about transportation, please contact Forsyth County Transportation kboggs@forsyth.k12.ga.us or jplinke@forsyth.k12.ga.us. Parent(s) must ride the bus with the student and make other arrangements for siblings due to limited space on the bus.
     
    Open House
    Who: Parents/Guardians and kindergarten student
    When: Thursday, July 31, 2025
    Where: Poole’s Mill Elementary
    Description: Open House is for kindergarten students and parents. You will meet your child's teacher and see the classroom. You will also be able to visit stations set up to answer your questions about transportation, lunch accounts and after-school programs. Your student’s teacher will contact you prior to Open House (usually the day before) so you will know which classroom to visit. If you have any questions, please contact slawing@forsyth.k12.ga.us.
