I am proud to be the principal of Settles Bridge. I began teaching in Forsyth in 2003 as a first grade teacher at Big Creek Elementary before moving on to Shiloh Point Elementary to teach 2nd grade. I then served as a gifted program teacher at Sharon Elementary from 2007-2010, moving over to work as a 3rd grade, Title I, and gifted teacher at Midway Elementary from 2010-2014. In 2014, I was the instructional coach here at Settles Bridge, before transferring to Cumming Elementary  as a quality work facilitator, and then assistant principal. From 2021-2023, I was an assistant principal at Silver City Elementary before returning to SBE as principal.

Both my bachelors and master's degree are from The University of Georgia, Go Dawgs! In addition, I hold a specialist degree in curriculum and instruction from Piedmont College. I consider myself a continuous learner, having acquired endorsements in ESOL, Gifted education, and teacher leadership.

When I'm not at work, you can likely find me at a ballpark in the Atlanta area watching one of my two boys, Tate or Tucker, playing baseball, football, or basketball. My husband, Brian, and I live in the North Forsyth area along with our boys and bulldog, Daisy. I look forward to meeting all of the wonderful Star Families and working to ensure student success.

I am thrilled to serve Settles Bridge Elementary School in the role of Assistant Principal this year. I hold a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, a Masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction  and  Educational Leadership. I have served as the Instructional Coach at SBE for the past three years.  In addition to my education, I have more than 20 years of teaching in elementary and middle schools along with the experience of raising three wonderful children.

In my free time, I enjoy reading and relaxing with my husband and kids on the lake. I am honored to be the mother of a son who is a Captain and Fighter Pilot in the U.S. Air Force, a daughter who has recently received her Doctor of Nurse Practitioner, and a younger daughter who graduated from Ole Miss and now works in Charleston, South Carolina. We are proud to call Forsyth County home.

The most important thing I want you to know about me is that I have an unwavering belief that all children are capable of reaching high levels of success.  Throughout the years, I have championed students and teachers alike to assist them in growing into the people they imagine that they can be. I primarily provide administrative support to Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades. However, it is my belief that relationships are the heart of our educational system, and I look forward to working with all of our Stars.

My name is Brigitte Brantley, and I am excited about being the administrator for grades 3-5. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Elementary Education, a master’s degree in Educational Administration, as well as a Principal Certification. Prior to joining the Settles Bridge team, I was a 5^th grade teacher at Daves Creek Elementary. I have a total of 25 years’ experience in education. This includes 17 years as a classroom teacher and 8 years as an administrator. My career has afforded me the opportunity to work with families, students, and staff in Tennessee, Ohio, and Georgia.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and going to the gym.  My belief is that no matter a person’s age, learning can always take place. All people are capable of learning. It is just a matter of finding the best way to reach them. I am looking forward to a wonderful year, and I am excited to be a Settles Bridge Star!
