The operative theme in all we do is "WELLNESS." Children of all ages must be physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy so they are able to learn. Forsyth County School Nurses promote the health and safety of our students in school, at home, and in the community. We are dedicated to ensuring that your child is not only safe at school and healthy, but we will work with you to guide your children on a path of total wellness.

- promotes health
- serves in a leadership role for health policies and programs
- serves as a liaison between school personnel, family, community, and health care providers
Please notify the school nurse with any health concerns that may need attention while your child is attending school, especially if they have been absent recently due to illness or injury that may need additional monitoring while at school.Should your student become ill while at school, they must visit the school nurse and call home from the clinic for their absence to be excused. If they call or text from their cell phone and then report to the clinic, this will be considered an unexcused absence.
