We are so excited to be offering an Esports Club this year!!!

This club will compete against other Forsyth County middle schools in the following 3 esports titles - Rocket League, Brawlhalla, and Divine Knockout. This year, the club is offered to a limited number of 6th and 7th grade students. A total of up to 8 competitive positions has been alloted for this year and there will be tryouts for the positions available. 3 players will be selected for Rocket League, 3 players will be selected for DKO, and 2 players will be selected for Brawlhalla. Students cannot try out for ALL games (there just won't be time), so make sure to select the one or two that you want to try out for ahead of time. This only refers to the comp players.

Those spots will be selected purely based on your skill level at your chosen game at the tryout event. Esports is officially recognized within the county now as an athletic CLUB at the middle school level. That means the committment and responsibilities is the same as that of a band, chorus, baseball, basketball, football, etc member/athlete. Wednesdays from 4:30-6 will be our competitive match days. There will be practices and meeting times with the expectation that team members will show up on time ready to compete. Students with other commitments and time constraints to separate sports and activities that would keep them from practices and matches will not be a good fit for this team.

We will not be doing a fundraiser this year, as there will instead be a flat fee to join that will only be paid by members who make the final team. 

An informational meeting for parents and students will be scheduled. The games and applications that will be used will be discussed, and parent permission gathered for students to tryout for the games.

When does this club meet?

Tournament dates will be on Wednesdays. Practices will be in Thursday mornings before school.

Other club information:

There will be a fee associated with this club. This will cover food, etc. during spring season matches where we get pizza and sodas/water for tournament nights each week.
