• Band

     Band is a yearlong course that is a cumulative program from grades 6 through 8. All students are welcome and encouraged to participate in the band, regardless of their previous musical background. The NFMS Band meets everyday for all members.

    The 6th grade band allows students who have never played music before to have the opportunity to learn to play an instrument, read music, perform in a band, and begin to develop an appreciation for music. The fundamental knowledge that they get from their first year will provide the students with a solid base for musical growth for years to come. The 7th and 8th grade bands provide students with higher levels of musical activities.
