    What is Invention Convention?

Have you ever found an interesting problem and suddenly had a brilliant idea on how to solve the problem? The Invention Convention is an event that gives students an opportunity to demonstrate the ability to solve problems, think creatively and experiment as they invent a new product or process.

The invention is a prototype that may work and be demonstrated or just a model of the idea. We have been talking about this during class and many students already have great invention ideas.

    Science class invention

Prototype that works and can be tested

Example: Sponge and Scrub your dishes

     Science class invention    I   I

Prototype model with explanation on how it works

Example:  When you have a sore throat you text

what you want to say on your phone, which then

relays the message to a speaker you wear on your head.
