I have been married for 14 years and we have one child, Reagan and a sweet miniature schnauzer, Ryder. 2023/2024 was my first year at Haw Creek Elementary and I immediately fell in love with this school. Hello! My name is Cathy Black and this is my 4th year here at Haw Creek teaching Special Education! I am so excited to continue my journey as a Husky! I graduated from Reinhardt University in Waleska, GA. I live in Alpharetta with my husband and 3 boys. My oldest attends Denmark High and my two younger boys are at DeSana Middle. We have an amazingly talented Border/ Ausie mix dog named Ace who loves to learn new tricks and commands daily. We love spending time outside and exploring new rivers in Georgia. We also love going to the beach!

Hello! My name is Mahasweta Das. This was my second year in Haw Creek Elementery. I have my Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering. I live in Cumming with my husband and our 11 year old boy. I graduated from Georgia Southern with a Bachelor of Science degree. I have worked as an IA for 21 years and worked at Haw Creek since it opened. For 18 years I worked with kindergarteners and the past 3 years with Special Ed. The Haw Creek Family is wonderful!!!! I have 3 grown daughters, a granddaughter and a dog. I love the beach and Disney World!!!

Hi! My name is Arianna McLaughlin. I grew up in Bayonne, New Jersey and have lived in Cumming, GA for the past 11 years. I have a Bachelors in Sociology from the University of Hartford and I am also certified as a Parent Educator and as a Instructional Aide This will be my 7th year working at Haw Creek Elementary where I have been an Instructional Aide in Special Ed working with Heather Goukler. My husband, Matthew and I have two daughters. I am looking forward to an amazing year.
