My name is Rene Blackstone and I am so excited to be a part of the Lakeside Middle School team! I have been teaching for almost 19 years and throughout those years I have had the opportunity to teach 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I have had some experience in just about every core subject area, but my true love is definitely for MATH and SCIENCE. I earned both my Bachelor of Science in Education degree and Master of Education degree from Georgia State University with certifications in all middle grade subjects, general science, ESOL and Gifted. I'm looking forward to another great year!

Ms. Morris is currently in her 17th year of teaching. She has spent the last 7 years in Forsyth County Schools. Prior to that, she taught in Gwinnett County. In her free time, she is with her family at the soccer field cheering on her daughter, 9, and chasing after her son, 2. She is excited to be joining the 6th grade team at Lakeside!

Originally from Maryland, she moved to Georgia 11 years ago after teaching overseas in Cairo, Egypt for 3 years. Georgia has become home to her, her husband, and two daughters. She initially went to school for graphic design but stumbled into teaching as a part time teacher's aide. It was there that she found the joy in working with students, and she went back to school for education. This will be her 18th year in education, and she is excited to be joining the community here at Lakeside Middle.

Mrs. Seymour is an Army Veteran, is married to an Army Soldier, and has two kids. She has a BS in Business Administration from Ithaca College and an MBA in Human Resource Management from Touro University. She loves to be on the water, work out, dabble in woodworking, snow ski, read, and spend time with her family.

I have been teaching for 17 years. I taught 5th grade math at a charter school in Flint, MI for nine years. I have been teaching at Mashburn Elementary School for the past eight years. I have a passion for math and science.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education as well as a Master's Degree in Instructional Technology from Saginaw Valley State University. I also have endorsements for middle grades math and science.
I was born and raised in Michigan. Where I lived until nine years ago when my husband's job brought us to Georgia. We have one son and two dogs. We love traveling and baseball.
