• High School Pathway Information for Rising 9th Graders

In an effort to provide as much information as possible to our rising 9th grade families about the wide variety of pathway options across our Forsyth County high schools, each of our high schools will be hosting a Pathway Night during the month of November. This chart provides the date for each high school’s pathway night and the link to that particular school’s webpage.

Virtual Career Exploration and Pathway Discovery: Each year, the district provides an in-person experience for 8th grade students to explore high school pathway options which occurred on October 11th and 12th at the Forsyth Conference Center! We hope your 8th grader enjoyed their time at the event and is having discussions on possible options for high school. To complement that event, we will have a virtual platform launching November 1st to guide students through pathway offerings, help students learn about local business/industry, meet CTAE teachers and high school counselors, and explore their interests! The platform is interactive, allows students to move around easily to explore each high school, and includes a large variety of videos for them to hear from teachers, tour labs, and listen to keynote speakers. Students can access through the icon in ClassLink/CTAE and parents can access through registering at fcsctae.vfairs.com.

On each high school webpage, you will find a link under Latest News that will take you to the district website for a consolidated version of all of the pathway opportunities each of our high schools has to offer. Should your student be interested in a pathway not provided at your districted high school, they may choose to apply to attend another high school through the Out of District (OOD) process. Please know that an OOD will not be approved for a program that your home school provides.

If you are interested in participating in the following specific programs, please visit the high school website for more information:
