  • State of Georgia Supervision Guidelines:

    Children must be the correct age and at the appropriate maturity level to be left alone or allowed to care for other children.

    Ages 8 or under: Should never be left home alone. 

    Ages 9-12: Can stay alone up to 2 hours, based on maturity, but should not be performing the role of a babysitter.

    Ages 13 and over: Can stay alone up to 12 hours, but never overnight. They can perform the role of babysitter, based on maturity.
