I have been with Alliance Academy since it opened, and this is my 18^th year in education. I have lived in Forsyth County for 27 years, and have 2 children, both graduates of Forsyth County. I came to teaching through volunteering with the school system and previous careers include, retail management, travel agent and real estate. I am passionate about decorating and entertaining and have a Masters along with a Specialist Degree in Curriculum Design.

As a graphic design teacher, my goal is to teach students how to be in a great position for both college and career opportunities. I plan to work with students so that they can achieve as many of their design goals as possible, but we are not limited in art and design here at the Academy. I believe in teaching the whole child. My background is magazine design, printshop, and art education. This is my 20^th year teaching in high school. I am currently working on my Specialist Degree in Workforce Education at UGA. I have worked at both West and Denmark, and my husband and daughter are also in the Forsyth County system so as a family we are deeply involved in the FoCo tradition. I have lofty dreams about what we can do and am excited to make those ideals a reality in the coming years here at Alliance Academy.
