2 - students can stop by the College and Career Center (CCC) any morning from 8:00-8:25 AM
3 - students can also find us in the War Eagle Dining Hall during all lunch periods on Thursdays and Fridays
Steps to Participate:
-
Step 1 - Complete "FCS Dual Enrollment Intent to Participate" Form
Available February 3, log into Infinite Campus PARENT PORTAL and complete the "FCS Dual Enrollment Intent to Participate" form. Directions on how to find and complete the form can be found HERE.
Helpful Tips:
1) Only 1 parent/guardian needs to sign off on the form, not both.
2) "Expired" means "done" = you have successfully completed the form
-
Steps 2-8 - Complete the "25-26 Dual Enrollment" Learning Module
-
Step 9 - Completion Verification
After you have emailed your school counselor to let them know you are ready, your school counselor will then verify that you have successfully completed the following:
1 - "FCS Dual Enrollment Intent to Participate" Form in Infinite Campus
2 - "GA Futures Funding Application" with parent acknowledgment sign-off
As soon as the above has been verified, your school counselor will send you an email inviting you to stop by to pick-up your personalized "SFHS Dual Enrollment Course Advisement" sheet.
-
Step 10 - Complete "SFHS Dual Enrollment Course Advisement" Sheet
From your own research using the GA Futures Dual Enrollment Course Directory, you will need to fill out the "SFHS Dual Enrollment Course Advisement" sheet indicating what classes you would like to take during Summer 2025, Fall 2025, and/or Spring 2026. You and your parent/guardian must sign the sheet indicating your agreement with the course(s) you are requesting to take via Dual Enrollment.
-
Step 11 - Submit "SFHS Dual Enrollment Course Advisement" Sheet
At your earliest convenience, please bring your "SFHS Dual Enrollment Course Advisement" Sheet and hand it to the secretary at each location listed below:
Last Names A-B: Ms. Kaur in East Hall Main Office
Last Names C-Z: Mrs. McKinzie in Counseling Suite
Ms. Kaur or Mrs. McKinzie will make a copy of your sheet - one for you to keep and one they will give to your counselor.
-
Step 12 - Wait for Email from School Counselor with Approval of Courses
Wait to receive an email from your school counselor indicating the courses you have requested to take have been approved and entered into the GA Futures Funding Application. Your school counselor will also email you if there is a problem with the course(s) you requested to take.
-
Step 13 - Register for Courses with the College
Now that your course request(s) have been approved by your school counselor, you must actually register for the course(s) with the college. Follow whatever your college's steps have listed to register for courses.
Please note: Some students mistakenly believe their school counselor registers them for the college course(s), but that is not accurate. Your school counselor reviews the course request and enters it into the Funding Application if approved. It is the student's responsibility to actually register for the course(s) with the college. Your school counselor cannot do that for you.
-
Step 14 - Send Your College Schedule to Your School Counselor
Once you have registered for the course(s) with the college, you need to send a copy of your college schedule to your school counselor. DE schedules must be sent to your school counselor prior to the first day of each semester for Forsyth County Schools (see dates below):
Summer 2025 Deadline: June 1, 2025
Fall 2025 Deadline: August 4, 2025
Spring 2026 Deadline: January 5, 2026
